Active Directory Users and Computers +
[ADUC Plus]
Frequently Asked Questions
How does one control access to ADUC Plus web application ?
Access rights are managed using IIS / Windows Integrated authentication to control
access to ADUC Plus web application.
When a user or computer object attributes are edited, why are the
changes not
immediately seen on the local DC ?
ADUC Plus is AD site aware application. Changes are first written
to the DC that is closest and available to the web server and then replicated out.
We recently acquired a company and would like to extend ADUC Plus
to display other forests.
Establish a 'forest trust' and run 'treegen' to update the
Tree pane data; your new forests and their organizational unit will
be available immediately.
At the bottom right of the screen there is a counter. What is the data age counter all about ?
Data is retrieved from Directory Services and stored in MS SQL.
This enables ADUC Plus to bind the content pane data to SQL and to
easily manipulate it. The age of data in SQL is displayed in the
counter on the bottom right and serves as simple notification to the
user to 'refresh data' as needed.
Can I export data in various format ?
ADUC Plus data export feature can create an Excel 2010, Excel 2003
or .CSV formatted file that can be manipulated by the users to suit
their needs.
How is the product licensed ?
Licensing is based upon the total number of user object count in Active Directory
environments.
How do we customize the compliance rules in ADUC Plus ?
The compliance rule can be configured in MS SQL using an easy to
use interface. Our support engineers will be glad to work with
you and assist you in customizing the software to suit your
requirements.
