SEVA – Passwords are not rotated as per configuration

LAPS for Azure, SYNERGIX SEVA

Problem

Local Account Passwords are not rotating as defined in the software configuration.


Symptoms

The log file in C:\ProgramData\Synergix\SEVA\Logs folder indicates an error.

 

Message : The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements.


Issue

It is possible that the effective Password Policy / Minimum Password Length has a higher value than that configured in the software.


Solution

You must update the configuration in the software to comply with the Password Policy and allowing the software to generate a password of required minimum length.

Note: Password Policy may be configured locally or overridden by Default Domain Policy in case of AD Joined Computers.
