ADCE: DNS Client Management
Duplicate DNS records for the same host may be created when domain computers connect to corporate network via VPN, WiFi and LAN and refresh their records dynamically before the next DNS scavenging cycle is triggered. This condition is fairly common as the users roam around the offices or work from home and surfaces as an issue when the host name resolution does not work reliably.
Duplicate DNS records that are registered dynamically are consolidated leaving only current records.
DNS Client on roaming computers is automatically configured to use selected trusted DNS Servers.
DHCP User Class Identifier
DHCP User Class Identifier is set for each network adapter enabling use of features in DHCP Servers.
Disabling DNS NACK on roaming computers helps access network resources faster
Resolving logon name to hostname
DNS CNAME is created using sAMAccountName and set to user's computer FQDN.
IPv6 is enabled and set to optimal configuration for cLDAP Discovery, Offline Folders and Branch Cache.
Universal LDAP Name
The name LDAP always resolves to closest available DC, enabling one configuration for all LDAP apps.
Wi-Fi Adapter Management
Laptop when docked will release Wi-Fi IP address to DHCP Server Pool and delete associated DNS Records
